Call for Abstracts

 

SMACC (Social Media and Critical Care) is the most exciting innovation in the critical care education calendar, bringing together both the Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care specialties on a modern stage. The enormous success of the online learning platforms (‘lifeinthefastlane.com’, ‘theintensivecarenetwork.com’, and ‘emcrit.org’) is now being harnessed to provide this face-face critical care conference.

SMACC is a high impact academic meeting fused with cutting edge online social media to deliver innovation with education. Live twitter feeds, podcasts, vodcasts, 24-hour journal club, ED vs ICU Sim-wars, live sono-games and live webinar transmissions will enhance the exciting academic content from renowned keynotes.

Abstracts: (free papers and poster presentations)

 

All accepted free papers and posters will be podcast and displayed via the affiliated websites after they have been presented at the smacc meeting, ensuring that they reach the maximum possible audience. Each abstract will be judged in the following categories:

  • Best Scientific
  • Best Educational Initiative
  • Best Social Media / On-line resource
The winner in each category will be invited to present as part of the plenary program and receive a prize.
